Our history

Cervantes Escuela Internacional was founded in 1986 by Paola Moreno at a time when learning Spanish was not so popular. The daughter of a Portuguese father and a Spanish mother, she lived in Lisbon, Madrid, Geneva, and Malaga, where she settled. Her beginnings as a teacher and her innovative spirit made quality teaching the core of our school. With her visionary spirit, she collaborated with other schools in Andalusia to professionalize the sector. She actively participated in creating the federation, consolidating Cervantes Escuela Internacional's reputation as a benchmark in Spanish language and culture training.

Our mission

Our mission is to provide the highest quality Spanish language instruction, personalized and tailored to each student. We promote an enriching cultural experience in a diverse and inclusive environment, where each student feels valued and motivated to achieve their personal language goals.

Through close and professional attention, we foster respect, trust, and cultural exchange, ensuring that learning Spanish is a meaningful and transformative experience.

Our Vision

We aim to be internationally recognized as a benchmark in Spanish language instruction, standing out for our academic quality, innovation, and commitment to diversity and equality. We aspire to continue growing as an institution that not only educates its students linguistically but also contributes to their personal development and connection with Hispanic culture.

Values

Academic Excellence: Using effective, up-to-date methods aligned with students' needs, we guarantee an excellent education that creates a wonderful academic climate.

Flexibility: We adapt our educational programs to each student's individual goals and characteristics. We address any issues that may arise, offering a quality solution in the shortest possible time. We place the student at the center of our activities, ensuring ongoing support.

Reliability and Transparency: Both are fundamental pillars at our center for creating relationships based on respect, honesty, and mutual trust, thus facilitating communication between teachers and students.

Welcoming environment: We offer a warm and safe environment where students feel at home and can fully enjoy learning. We make this possible not only at the school but also with the different types of accommodation available.

Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion: Diversity in learning is crucial in creating inclusive and enriching educational environments. Recognizing and valuing differences in students' learning styles, abilities, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences is critical to fostering the academic and personal success of all students.

There is an increasing need to support students with specific learning difficulties, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or dyslexia, and to provide an educational environment that not only recognizes but also values individual differences. This ensures that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of the challenges they face on their learning journey. At Cervantes International School, we promote fair treatment, recognizing that each student is unique and has their own needs, and we are here to support them every step of the way.

Commitment to Social and Environmental Sustainability: Learning Spanish creates a series of circumstances that promote intercultural understanding and respect for other cultures. Our school is a point of connection; cultural diversity helps students integrate ethical concepts and values not only from Spanish culture but also from their peers. We are also actively involved in environmentalism and social responsibility, collaborating with NGOs and local organizations to contribute to community development and environmental protection.

Economic Sustainability: Teaching Spanish is part of language tourism and has a unique appeal with excellent growth potential. Spanish is considered an inexhaustible resource that grows and evolves with its use and certifies a range of skills beyond linguistics. Aware of all this, we are responsible for ensuring complete and rewarding participation in Spanish language teaching.

At Cervantes Escuela Internacional, learning Spanish is much more than studying a language: it is living it, feeling it, and enjoying it in an environment that will help you grow personally and professionally.
