"A year has passed, I remember my first day at school, my first class and my first contact with native people. I started in an A2 and I'm already in a C1. And as a year is a very long period because I have had # LUCK # to live a mixed experience; post-covid classes and classes during covid. Regarding the measures, the classes continue within the normal, animated of course with school and extracurricular activities, all to enjoy a wonderful city, know the culture and clearly learn the language."

The classes normally do not have more than 10 students what is good. The activities the school offers are every week a bit different, what was good. They were every time really funny and good organized. All in all it was a great experience and definitely worth!."

The school has connections with families that are used to receiving students from all different backgrounds. I am very impressed. Added to that, there is MÁLAGA! The city has so much to offer you will need a whole book to describe. It is very worth your while, prices are perfect, staff is always ready to help, excursions are available as well. At the end of your stay say good bye to friends that you hope to keep in touch with."

"I have only one word to describe my experience in Cervantes Escuela Internacional “marvelous”. I started this adventure the 27th of June for 11 weeks and they put me in an A1 level, my Spanish level, where I met with Susana as the teacher and it was spectacular for the first week, because she and all the others of the family stuff you find in this school, like Lidia, Manuel, Patricia, Iris and Michele. You feel comfortable like in your home! The didactic is impeccable, the activities very funny, especially the excursions on the weekends (and sometimes during the week, like cooking paella). If somebody wants an advice because he doesn´t know which school to choose, I would say Cervantes Escuela Internacional, because after one week you learn a lot and know a lot about and understand about Spanish culture!"

"Cervantes Escuela Internacional is a young and dynamic language school, the personal is open-minded and very friendly. The organized activities are diverse and varied every week. They are very complex, mix history, culture and, of course, Spanish. During the week the activities are playful while the activities and excursions during the weekends are more cultural. The courses are also complex, grammar, vocabulary, conjugation, syntactic structures at various levels is practiced at lessons. In class we learn through entertaining activities, interactive games. Teachers are dynamic and teach with enthusiasm.
I lived in a double room in a shared apartment. It is a nice room and I liked a lot living with other students, we shared the living room, the kitchen, the bathrooms. Malaga is a beautiful city, there are many possibilities how to spend the free time. I decided to study at this school for very good impression I got when I visited the school personally in March. The staff was very welcoming, the offer of courses at different levels, activities, the location and accommodation which the school provides caught my attention and convinced me to study here."

The daily activities are fantastic and a great opportunity to strengthen the friendships with your classmates. I will be returning for sure!
I choose to stay with a family of Rocío Fernandez. They have been wonderful and from the first day I felt at home, so welcoming. The only thing I would change is the amount of time I stayed here. One month is not long enough. Three months is a better amount of time to really improve Spanish comprehension and conversation."

"I had an amazing experience here and I plan to return. Although I was happy with the classes, sometimes when class duration or level changed, it was not communicated in good time which did cause some disappointment and frustration which I could understand. It might be idea to explicitly state this on the website or when people register to avoid this disappointment.
I can appreciate that organizing the levels of classes can be difficult (particularly at this time of year) but it can be hard and stressful to be in a class that is not your level (whether higher or lower)!
I will be back though!"

"We had from the first day on very good communication with the school administration, and they have helped us to arrange a good program for our students.
Both, teaching and activities in the afternoons was varied and with good contents. The pupils have learned a lot in a short time. We had already asked for lessons with special themes, and we've got them! Not least, the staff has been very nice with us!
The school's location is great, with a nice beach, a lot of shops, bars and so on very close to it. There is also a good bus service just outside the school.
We were happy in the Hostal (El Nogal).
We love Malaga and we will come back again for sure!"

"Through this way, I want to make clear that Cervantes Escuela Internacional in Malaga really is a quiet familiar school. Here you meet people who want to learn Spanish.
It really is a family school, everyone knows each other and the staff is very attentive.
By myself I have been learning Spanish for 20 years, but here I learned more in five weeks (three summers together). Of course I already knew many words. But to learn the grammar in an orderly way, it's really quite good here. The teachers know what they are doing. Not only Spanish, but mostly the way of explaining.
Two more things I want to mention are;
The activities eg. There are nice small things organized, so you can practice many Spanish and see nice things and meet new people.
Another point is the service of the school, you feel really at home, they can arrange a lot for you. They are very attentive.
If what you want to eat, do not hesitate to contact me via my FB (Nico van Diepen) only answer questions in Spanish, no matter what level...."

School activities were really good and educational. I enjoyed and I have gained knowledge. Lessons were funny and educational. Thanks to all the teachers for this. Especially to Mrs. Desire. "My stay in Malaga has been fun and productive. I learnt a lot and have already decided to come back. Would you recommend Cervantes Escuela International?
Of course. I learnt a lot, more than I learnt during all those years at the University in Belgium. I got along very well with my teacher, Patricia, and I will remember her fondly. I lived in a shared apartment and I really liked it. It has been a fantastic experience and a perfect opportunity to make new friends.
The activities are great, very fun and entertaining.
I didn´t know Malaga before, I came here as I had never visited the Costa del Sol before and I read positive comments about the school on the internet. That´s why I decided to come here.

"We´ve stayed at Cervantes Escuela Internacional in Malaga for 2 weeks. It has been a very pleasant experience and we think that our Spanish has improved considerably during this time. However, we advise others to stay a longer period of time in order to take advantage of the language to a maximum extent.
We think that the teachers are very entertaining and friendly and they create a great atmosphere in the class. The small and intimate classes offer a unique experience and personally we think that this is vital for the intellectual development of the students.
The structure of the lesson is very well thought. We had to make presentations and group activities. The weekly tests that are taken every Thursday have allowed us to register our evolution and check our levels (B1.4, B1.1, etc.).
However, we believe that it would be better to have more animated debates in order to have an entertaining class and improve the oral communication. This is the most important! The culture class is very interesting because we´ve learned so much both about the language and about Spain´s culture!
And there are a lot of parties!!
Not to mention that the school organizes cultural activities all day (visits to the city, to bullfight rings, to Granada) that are fantastic for their price.
Basically we have spent 2 incredible weeks at Cervantes Escuela Internacional. We strongly advise you to come here to learn, have fun and relax at the beach. At just 3 minutes from the school!"

"I have studied Spanish in Escuela Cervantes Internacional during only one week, but by all means I have learned many things. On the one hand, I have improved my way of speaking, my grammar and at the same time I have learned so many things about Spanish culture. My Spanish teacher motivated us to learn more and improve our way of talking. I was very lucky not to be in a class with many students, so in that way I could take advantage of a more personalized lesson. After the classes I sometimes took part in some activities. They always were really well organized and at the same time very interesting. Also, I should say that the tour of Malaga helped me feel a lot better and feel comfortable in such a big city as Malaga. Finally, I can say that my week here in Málaga at Cervantes Escuela Internacional was amazing and I fully recommend it to everybody!"

"I have been interested to learn Spanish for long time at least more than 10 years. So I have tried and I locked for places to learn Spanish. First I have tried with some program from the internet and then I tried to study with the expat who can speak Spanish but then I feel it was not enough and I only has learnt just basic and some few vocabularies.
I only been here for one moth even though I cannot be able to speak much Spanish but my listening and writing skill is much better than I was. I have leant a lot from Cervantes EI and I hope when I come back in future I will be fluent in Spanish.
The family that I stayed with during one month is the best experience I even have. I feel so safe and got lot of help. Before I came I was nervous and bit scare as I never been somewhere that majority is not speaking English. I think life alone is much harder than living with the family. I also not to be worried about food and I gain some free time to do more task on my studying, also I have got a lot of good advices: what should or shouldn´t do when I am living here from Spanish people and also learnt some custom while I am staying with the family By the way, she is good cock;).
The reason I choose Cervantes Escuela Internacional became when I sent some request or question I got reply promptly from Michele and that was one of the big reason beside of Cervantes Escuela Internacional reputation of its own."

"Dear friends!
I would like to share with you my impressions about my stay and my studies in Malaga at CEI. Well, the positive emotions exceeded my expectations. I really couldn’t imagine that it would have been a so magnificent experience with lots of opportunities to practice the language in and out the school.
First of all, I want to thank the staff who organized the learning process very instructive with many interactive cultural activities. No doubt, you haven’t got time to get bored! I liked the workshops of Spanish literature and film and the trips to other beautiful cities like Córdoba and Sevilla.
And not to forget - the flamenco classes which have touched my soul. Thanks to my teacher I discovered the wonderful world of flamenco dance!
And now, in these last days in Malaga, I’d like to enjoy at the utmost my stay in order to remember it forever with melancholy!
Thank you again for making this summer unforgettable!"

"Malaga is definitely an interesting city. For me, as a lover of the ocean, it was my first choice; especially I like the ocean and the city center. The organization of the school is excellent. In my course I had the chance to learn a lot with an excellent teacher, Cristina. I established good relationships with all my classmates. At the beginning it was a little bit hard for me since some of my fellow students already knew a little bit of Spanish. This proved to be good because it forced me to make more efforts and study in order to make myself understood in Spanish. The residence is gorgeous with a beautiful dining room, swimming pool and all for a good stay.”

"Before I came to Malaga, I looked for a school in another city to learn Spanish (Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid). Finally, I decided for Cervantes Escuela Internacional in Malaga because of the course price, it is cheaper than in the other and because of the weather that makes Malaga a perfect place. Despite the price is low, the quality of the teachers and activities are really good. At the beginning, I wasn´t able to speak anything in Spanish (only hello, haw are you, etc.) but now I can have a fluent Spanish conversation with a Spanish native. The teachers know a lot about the language, the culture and the history of Spain and because of this, they have a great capacity to teach to the foreign people Spanish. For my, my time in Malaga and the school it was amazing and unforgettable."

“My experience here in Malaga and at Cervantes Escuela Internacional has been a great one. The administration, teachers and students alike are very pleasant and would assist me with any problems or concerns I would have. Despite I expected to have more oral activities, the course (intensive 20) was good. I learnt a lot of grammar and structures that I would usually have problems with. The course has definitely helped me with my Spanish. I just wish I could stay longer!
The activities of the school were also very good. I enjoyed our evening of churros and chocolate a lot. The activities helped me to learn more about the culture here in Spain and in Malaga.

"When I first decided to attend Spanish courses I did not know many schools in Spain. So I started looking on the Internet randomly found many positive comments about Cervantes Escuela International. All these great recommendations made me decide to attend Spanish courses at Cervantes Escuela International. From day one the teachers and everyone in the administration were very friendly and above all very willing to help and answer to any questions. In my opinion it is positive that the school is not so big because everyone knows each other and there is a warm and friendly atmosphere. As for the classes I liked them a lot especially because I learned not only grammar but also much about the history, culture and the Spanish customs. And thanks to the presentations we had to prepare each week and to the discussions we had in class my Spanish has improved a lot. I now have more confidence when speaking in Spanish. The classes were great fun and well organized and the teachers were very understanding, friendly and have a lot of energy and desire to teach. Most importantly they encourage students to continue studying Spanish. I love to learn about the history, the customs and the culture of a country culture. The activities organized by the school were great because I learned many things I have not known before. The guides were very friendly and spoke very understandable. "Spending these 6 months here in Malaga and at Cervantes Escuela International was an incredible and memorable experience for me. Both the kindness and openness of all members of the school as well as for the skills and professionalism of the teachers have made my stay unique. I think it's very good that the school is small because it allows people to feel more comfortable and relaxed. The classes, the teachers and the school in general are very well organized and well prepared. Also, spending these six weeks surrounded by people who have so much energy and who are so eager to learn has been something special and amazing. I would like to add that I loved the atmosphere in the school which is very nice and very comfortable. Above, the activities are very well organized and the guides are very friendly and always willing to answer questions or tell an interesting story. On the other hand, I liked that every week there are several activities you can choose from. Moreover, Malaga has got a great climate and the beaches are fantastic, the people are very open and honest. I was also very pleased to see architecture so diverse and so rich and it was very interesting to hear these facts about their history and the Spanish culture. I decided to choose Cervantes Escuela International probably due to the very positive reviews I read online. I would like to thank the teachers for being so kind and for having shared their knowledge not only of language but also of the Spanish culture."

"I really enjoyed my time in Malaga especially in the school. I learned a lot and the teacher has responded to my requests and needs. The book was very good. There is also the possibility to buy additional materials.
The school offers many afternoon activities. They are varied and very interesting, they are not expensive and some of them are even free.
The district in which the school is located is very quiet and safe. By bus you can reach the city center in a short time.
The staff is very friendly and helps you every time you need. Each one speaks at least Spanish and English but some of the employees often speak also other languages.
Malaga is a beautiful city by the sea and close to many other well-known cities of Andalusia.
I can recommend the school because you learn a lot and the language is the focus. For the school is also very important that students have a good time. I recommend the school for groups and teenagers who want to learn Spanish."

"Hi, my name is Norbert Monti and I am 17. I am a student in a Spanish bilingual school in Hungary. I really like languages and I am lucky to speak several languages. Apart from that, I am interested in History, Geography, Literature and much more.
I completed an assignment and won a scholarship to come and study in Malaga for two weeks at Cervantes International School. This is my first time in Andalusia, so for me, it‘s a unique chance to experience the Spanish way of life (or rather the Andalusian way of life) and to learn, not only at school, but also by talking to people and by getting to know little by little the beauty of the region.
I'm very happy to be in the C1-level course. My teachers give me specific materials to broaden my knowledge: we see more advanced vocabulary, study texts, and grammar ... When I return to my school, I am sure that everything I have learnt during these two weeks will come in very useful.
In the future, I’d like to do a DELE course to have a certificate that provides evidence of my linguistic ability. Either way, I want to study Spanish in greater depth and keep improving my Spanish during my university studies.
Well, all I can say is that Spanish has changed my life and has opened many doors to the world. I'm glad I chose this language."

"My stay at Cervantes Escuela Internacional was EXCELLENT!! I took the preparation course for the DELE exam and it improved my Spanish considerably. I have been learning Spanish for over five years here in Iceland but still couldn’t communicate effectively because we are more focused on grammar and reading. I believe that you need to immerse yourself in the language if you want to learn it properly. When I first arrived at the school, I was very excited as this was my first time outside of Iceland alone and I had always dreamt of experiencing Spain and its unique culture. The teachers and other staff at Cervantes Escuela Internacional were warm and welcoming. I particularly enjoyed the Bienvenidos and flamenco dancing; that was brilliant! Later we went on a trip with Miguel to the center of Malaga, he was the teacher in charge of the activities.
I also loved the classes; they were relaxed and the teachers were very helpful; since I took the B1 class all the lessons were in Spanish. As well as being a good school, the location of Cervantes Escuela Internacional is fantastic. It is in an old part of Malaga where not many people speak English and that made my trip even more challenging and fun!! During my stay there were people of many different ages and origins at the school, anything between sixteen and forty years old. Overall I would say that this was an excellent trip, both hugely educational and fun. I will definitely return some day."

"The first city I visited in Spain was Malaga, and I loved it. The memories will be forever in my heart. For me, Andalusia is one of the best places in the Spanish-speaking world to learn the language. I love everything about Malaga: the diversity of its culture, the climate, the food, the friendliness and happy disposition of the people. There are so many things to see that it is hard to pick the most interesting ones.
As for the Spanish classes at Cervantes EI, I found the quality of the teaching and the experience of the teachers very high. All the teachers know how to turn the difficult task of learning a language into wonderful journeys and exciting adventures and thanks to their imagination, lessons go by ever so quickly."

Spanish for Young People, 4 weeks
"My four weeks in Malaga were a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Everyone gave me a warm welcome when I arrived at the school. The course was neither too long nor too short and I was never bored. Thanks to the test that I took on the first day at school, I joined a group that suited me perfectly and as well as improving my Spanish, I learned interesting things about Spanish culture, watched amusing films and developed my vocabulary very quickly. The teachers were always cheerful and knew how to wake us up the day after the Spanish victory (European football Championships 2008).
What I also liked a lot was the activities with our group leader. Every day we could play lots of games on the school terrace; we played sport on the beach, went on trips to Frigiliana, went to the cinema in the evening, visited the center of Malaga and the Alcazaba, drank tea together in an Arab café and we had a great time. The group was made up of youngsters from all over the world and we still keep in touch!"

27 weeks of work experience at Cervantes EI
"When I arrived in Malaga for my first day of work experience within the marketing department at Cervantes EI, I felt immediately at ease; all the staff (the teachers, admin. staff and the director) were very kind to me and by the end of the 27 weeks, they were like a family. I learnt a lot during my stay, not only about the language, but also about the culture.
In fact, although I finished my work experience more than 6 months ago, I have returned to Malaga twice as I missed the city! The first time was for a week, taking lessons in which I learnt a lot; learning Spanish at Cervantes EI is a lot better that having just two hours a week in Holland! The teachers are really friendly and know how to explain the theory in a simple, amusing and effective way. The school also organizes different activities every day and you can practise what you have learnt in class with the other students and have fun at the same time, tasting “tapas” in the evening for instance which is a custom in Malaga.
The second time I returned to Malaga was in August for the “Feria” de Malaga, one of the best fiestas in the world, honestly!, 10 days of celebrations non-stop, with music, people wearing traditional costumes, dances, delicious food and much more!
Thanks to everyone. It was an unforgettable experience."

Curso Estándar y D.E.L.E, 6 semanas
"Hola me llamo Marisa Beier y yo estuve en Málaga durante seis semanas. Vivía con una familia española y pude hablar mucho con mi madre española. Si te alojas en una familia española no serás el uníco estudiante, tendrás hermanos de la misma u otras escuelas.
Cervantes Escuela Internacional me gustó mucho y pude aprender bastante.

Intensive Course, 5 weeks
"I spent 5 weeks at the school and I really enjoyed the way they teach as it makes learning Spanish easy. I also enjoyed learning about the Spanish culture and meeting the other students was an enriching experience; everyone was very nice.
The other students come from all over the world and we are still in touch. The people who work at the school are very nice and always prepared to help, and now I speak Spanish. The activities that the school organized were also a good way to learn Spanish and made it feel like a game."

Super Intensive course, 4 weeks
"For me, coming to this school changed my life. When I arrived, I was looking forward to learning Spanish, making new friends and visiting new places, but reality far exceeded what I had expected. Although I had some basic knowledge of Spanish, in one month I managed to learn enough to take the step to move to Spain and start from scratch. For that I thank the teachers - not only for their patience with students, treating each one as an individual, but also for the confidence they give you to speak, to integrate yourself in Spanish life and to improve each day.
I made good friends with whom I remain in touch, although they live in other parts of the world. I have wonderful memories, and more importantly, a solid knowledge of Spanish, which has enabled me to live and work in Spain.
I must admit that every summer, when the school fills up with new students, I feel nostalgic and I remember the best month of my life – when I was one of them.”

"I think that Malaga is a wonderful city. I really like it as you always meet people in the streets and everything is so lively. My favorite place was, or rather is the square where you see the statue of Picasso and also la Plaza de la Marina. I lived in a little house near the beach which I liked best of all.
The course I did was very well organized and it was good that we had small groups as you can learn a lot that way. The lessons have helped me a lot with my studies at university and I am pretty sure that I will come back for another course in the future".

"Malaga – sun, beach, sea, mountains ... you have it all in this wonderful and unique place. The city is beautiful; the vegetation and architecture are completely different from what you can see in my country.
In the school you meet students from all over the world and you can swap information about cultural differences and customs, and make friends with students from other continents.
The teachers are really nice and helpful. They are tolerant, but demanding.
The course is well organized; you can learn or improve your grammar and conversation with ease. There were interesting activities every day, which help you know better the Spanish culture, Malaga and other towns in Andalusia. I shan’t forget the time I spent at the school and in Malaga. I warmly recommend this school and Malaga!!!".

"What I enjoyed about Málaga: the environment, the sun, the streets and old houses, the food prepared by the family, the shops, the Picasso museum and the Hamman.
The school is like a small family. I do not like big educational institutions, as if they were industries. The activities are fun, especially going out with teachers and fellow students, nights in the bars, visits in the city and monuments. However, I am a bit frustrated with the excursions during the weekends, especially to Sevilla (we did not see a lot, it was too touristy).
The teachers are very approachable in class. Even though I don´t like studying grammar when I am in France, it's my favourite class here. Sometimes we do not speak that much in our conversation classes--we write.
I enjoyed the first week the most when there were less students in each class. But I am happy and I think that if I have made progress, it is thanks to the school. The administration is very dynamic and agreeable, always answering our questions or addressing our problems."

"Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the teachers are patient and understanding. The lessons are well-paced and comprehensive with a variety of activities and a good emphasis on speaking.
The accommodation is comfortable and well-equipped, conveniently situated near the school, beach and shops.
Malaga is a large town with plenty to see in the old town and with the beach running along its full length. Eating and drinking is very reasonably priced with plenty of choice and plenty of convenient supermarkets. The activities offered by the school are varied, interesting and very well priced."

One to Two lessons, 1 week
"Learning Spanish with Cervantes Escuela Internacional school was perfect for us, because we could choose the number of hours for our lessons, and the pace of the classes.
We studied in the morning (not too early) and practiced speaking Spanish in the afternoons in Málaga.
We chose to study Spanish in Málaga because English in not widely spoken here, and the Cervantes Escuela Internacional school was highly recommended by an acquaintance in the UK.
We stayed in a hotel in Málaga, but the bus to the school is very convenient and frequent.
We will certainly return for more lessons!
We would especially recommend the optional extra activities. We thoroughly enjoyed learning to make paella, and the free walking tour of Málaga (both given by Manuel).
Lydia was wonderfully patient, and her lessons were exactly what we wanted to help us learn Spanish."

"The whole team of Cervantes Escuela Internacional is very helpful and takes great care to his students (Iris has immediately called us while we were still in Germany, Michele gave us support in finding accommodation). Although we have not participated in many activities (eg workshops) , we were very interested in the excursions on the weekends (to various cities). All teachers of Cervantes Escuela Internacional have many years of professional experience, which is clearly reflected in the classroom. Positively: morning classes. I can only recommend this school."

"The reception is very friendly, attentive and helpfully in every way and every moment. The courses are very interesting in the construction as in the manner of presentation . high speeds, but on demand there were satisfactory answers . Finally the Spanish culture was deepened because my teacher at home is Mexican.
The accommodation I was looking for on my own. Málaga I have explored by myself , but I have seen a film in school. Málaga has become more beautiful since my last visit in 1993 and has many interesting things to offer , such as museums , botanical garden , beaches, harbor mile , architecture , etc."

"I chose this school because of the good opinions on the web and because the first contact with Miguel was very good. The teachers are very nice and available. The classes have always been very interesting and sometimes intense. The DELE course has been the best idea of my time in Spain, with a lot of work, many teachers. I stayed on my own and did not participate in the activities either. Malaga as a city is beautiful, with a lot of life. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to have learned in this great site.I am extremely happy and grateful for the opportunity to have learned in this school, a great place."
